The bird watching house in Skagaströnd, Northern Iceland is a new attraction for the Spákonufellshöfði nature reserve. The area is popular for recreation and bird watchers visit especially to see the sea birds in their natural habitat.

In Icelandic, Spákonufellshöfði means “The prophetess’ cape” and the crystal shaped house is inspired by her legend from the viking age. The project, which also includes a masterplan for paths, accessibility, and nature protection, has received approval from Skagaströnd Municipality and the Environment Agency of Iceland and will be realised in spring 2023. Spákonufellshöfði is one of the first destinations when traveling on The Arctic Coastway tourist route in North Iceland.
